About ASDetect

ASDetect is a free app that empowers parents and caregivers to assess young children for early signs of autism. Based on over a decade of world-class research at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (La Trobe University, Australia), the app uses video-led assessments with specially produced footage of both autistic and non-autistic children. It features three age-appropriate assessments for children at 12, 18 and 24 months. In validation studies, 83% of children identified as 'high likelihood' went on to receive an autism diagnosis. The underlying developmental surveillance tool has been adopted across more than 16 countries and is used by over 1,500 trained maternal and child health nurses.
